The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, is increasing in both the military, civilian and commercial sectors but there are serious implications the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) present to law enforcement and national security.

Detective Marc O’Mara, a 20 veteran Connecticut law enforcement professional, is assigned to the CT State Police Counter Terrorism Unit / CT Intelligence Center. He has studied all aspects of UAV technology and the myriad of legal issues posed by this technology. His knowledge has been used to help craft Connecticut’s own UAV laws.
