Carlos Bermudez is a retired 30 year veteran of the NYPD who was assigned to the Emergency Service Unit for the last 11 years of his service. His duties included Commanding Officer of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Team as well as Operations Coordinator of the Emergency Service Unit. He participated in the planning and execution of security measures for all of the major events held in New York City such as the United Nations General Assembly, US Tennis Open, visits by the President of the United States, Baseball Postseason Games, Parades, and the New York City Marathon.
He began his career with Major League Baseball at the start of the 2013 baseball season and is currently a Resident Security Agent. He has been assigned to a wide variety of sensitive security assignments to include All-Star week, League Championship Series, World Series, VIP Security, International Events, and Baseball & Softball Development Special Events.
