We regret to inform everyone of the passing of Ed Keane.
Ed was ASIS chapter chairman in the late sixties and early seventies. He was vice president of Gleason Security and then started his own firm, Keane Security in the 1980’s.
Edward F. X. Keane, Sr.
June 3, 1935 – October 5, 2019
Edward Francis Xavier Keane Sr., formerly of Harrison, NY, passed away October 5, 2019, at age 84.
He was born June 3, 1935 in New York City to James & Sybil Keane. Edward proudly served in the US Air Force and went on to become the proprietor of Keane Security, a longtime business in Harrison. Edward was a member and past president of ASIS, a security organization.
A lover of football, he had a strong passion for the NY Jets and his family also recalls his affinity for black and white movies. Edward is the beloved husband of Gloria Keane, and the cherished father of Mark Keane, James Keane (Sue) and the late, Edward Francis Xavier Keane Jr, and stepfather of Gregory Pernhagen (Phillip Gunnels) He is the dear grandfather of Robert, Jesse, Fallon and Kate and also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
To honor Edward’s life, family and friends gather on Wednesday Oct 9, 4-8pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968, where a service will commence at 7:15pm.
