Our ASIS chapters have now officially become the Hudson Valley Chapter (#35). Members from both the previous Westchester and the Mid-Hudson chapters have merged. We look forward to new contacts, new ideas, and a bright future.

Combined Westchester and Mid Hudson breakfast meeting
We had a very enjoyable breakfast meeting on Halloween morning at the Executive Diner in Hawthorne, NY. Retired FBI agent (and Mid Hudson member) Hilda Kogut spoke about some of her experiences with the agency. We also had the swearing in of the 2018 officers for the new ASIS Hudson Valley chapter.

Our originally planned breakfast at West Point has had to be changed. Unfortunately we did not have enough respondents for the West Point location. We will still have a breakfast meeting on Oct 31 with a speaker from the FBI. The location to be the Executive Diner in Hawthorne, NY from 8:30 am to 10 am.

Saturday was a beautiful day in the Poconos at Sunset Hill Shooting Range. ASIS Members of Mid-Hudson and Westchester chapters got together to enjoy the day with the opportunity to shoot a variety of weapons. Email phishing going after ASIS chapters and other organizations.
ASIS Westchester was a recent recipient of a phishing email attack. The simple method used was not very high tech, and it indicates that many non-profits and other organizations may be vulnerable to similar attacks.
October 31: ASIS Breakfast at West Point
Westchester and Mid Hudson ASIS Chapters, join us for the 2017 Annual West Point Breakfast Meeting and Tabletop Day. Tuesday, October 31, 2017, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Speaker will be the FBI Assistant Director in Charge, NY Field Office, William F. Sweeney.
September- Shooting Range trip to the Poconos
Click the link above for details. Mid Hudson Chapter has organized their annual trip to the Sunset Hill Shooting Range in Henryville, PA (Pocono Mt area). We encourage all Westchester chapter members to attend as well! No Experience Necessary!!! No license needed. Designed for the beginner and experienced shooter alike. Minimum age to shoot is 13 years of age. All persons below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, 21 or older.
