We had a very enjoyable breakfast meeting on Halloween morning at the Executive Diner in Hawthorne, NY. Retired FBI agent (and Mid Hudson member) Hilda Kogut spoke about some of her experiences with the agency. We also had the swearing in of the 2018 officers for the new ASIS Hudson Valley chapter.
Our originally planned breakfast at West Point has had to be changed. Unfortunately we did not have enough respondents for the West Point location. We will still have a breakfast meeting on Oct 31 with a speaker from the FBI. The location to be the Executive Diner in Hawthorne, NY from 8:30 am to 10 am.
Saturday was a beautiful day in the Poconos at Sunset Hill Shooting Range. ASIS Members of Mid-Hudson and Westchester chapters got together to enjoy the day with the opportunity to shoot a variety of weapons. ASIS Westchester was a recent recipient of a phishing email attack. The simple method used was not very high tech, and it indicates that many non-profits and other organizations may be vulnerable to similar attacks.

We encourage all Westchester chapter members to attend as well! No Experience Necessary!!! No license needed. Designed for the beginner and experienced shooter alike. Minimum age to shoot is 13 years of age. All persons below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, 21 or older.
